International Conference & Amber Platform: amber'13 Art and Technology Festival

Exhibition: 1 – 10 November 2013, Arap Cami Mh., Banka Sokak No:11, İstanbul

For this occasion Amber’13 Festival will host Connecting Cities’ first International Conference on Saturday, 2 November 2013. Moderated by Ekmel Ertan;

Susa Pop, Soren Pold, Nerea Calvillo, Mike Stubbs, Veronika Pauser, Darko Fritz and Minna Tarkka will discuss the topic “Urban Media: Connecting Cities” during the Panel 4 (3 Nov at 12pm – 2.30pm). The Connecting Cities Conference will take place in the context of Amber’13 Conference, 2 – 4 November 2013 under the topic of ‘DID YOU PLUG IT IN?’ questioning your smartness.
Along with Amber’13 Conference the Amber’13 Festival is taking place from 1 - 10 November 2013 and encourages you to “Fool Your Smartness”. Instead of supporting the “ever-growing inflation of smartness” which promotes consumption and control, one should open up to foolishness, a new way of thinking, that allows critical interrogation, creative thinking and deconstruction.
