Screens in the Wild

Back

Screens in the Wild is initiated by researchers from The Bartlett, University College London and the Mixed Reality Lab, University of Nottingham (UK). It investigates how media screens located in urban space can be designed to benefit public life, rather than merely transmit commercial content and explores the screens placement, content development, local interactivity and distributed connectivity of four screen nodes, connecting London with Nottingham (UK). Based the evaluation of the screens content in the real world and with the local communities, a platform of four networked urban screens is designed to encourage public participation and promote social cohesion enabled through urban play.
