MUTEK CABARET @ ISEA 2015, VANCOUVER

Back

// 16th-18th August 2015

// @ Goldcorp Centre for the Arts - Fei & Milton Wong Experimental Theatre, Vancouver

From August 16 to 18 2015 Connecting Cities partner MUTEK presents an amazing series of audiovisual performances from Québec artists. The 'MUTEK Cabaret' is staged in the framework of ISEA 2015 - the International Symposium on Electronic Art - in Vancouver.

ISEA is one of the world’s most famous international arts and technology events, bringing together scholarly, artistic, and scientific domains in an interdisciplinary discussion and showcase of creative productions applying new technologies in art, interactivity, and electronic and digital media.

The title 'MUTEK Cabaret' deliberately recalls and echoes The Electronic Cabaret, one component of the ISEA 95 Montréal program that had been presented at the now defunct Spectrum, and had offered first glimpses in North America of avant garde digital work such as Modell 5 by Austrian duo GRANULAR SYNTHESIS.
