PERMANENT DISPLAY
SAPPORO NORTH2 is located in Sapporo Station underground walkway space. This location is ‘citizen generated media (CGM)’. It’s a lively public area in the heart of Sapporo city, around JR Sapporo. The underground walkway opened on March 12, 2011. It measures approximately 520m in length and 20m in width (actual pedestrian passageway is 12m wide).
NORTH2=CGM digital signage zone are located along the walkway, at Kita Nijo street, with a ‘social space’ 4m wide created on either side of the 20m pedestrian passageway. The space can be used for citizen content and non-commercial various events or for posting cultural information or administrative announcements.
The ’12 hour pedestrian traffic’ along Sapporo Ekimae-dori (above ground as well as the underground walkway) on weekdays has grown from 29,000 before the opening of the walkway to 72,000 people at present.

Publishers can develop and install any kind of appleication: MAC OS X native application, Adobe Flash(AIR), Microsoft Silverlight and Cycling 74 Max/MSP. Your application can generate dynamic space experience to pedestrians in Sapporo.
Publishers Application can control the media space’s full function: all of full HD LCD displays, super directive speakers, three dimensional speakers, WiFi, Webcams and internet connection.
Internet access & connectivity
We provide an internet connection. The content can be mashed up with any social media and web services on the Web.
